Senior project engineers perform studies and special tasks such as vessel collision, pier protection, seismic, fatigue, emergency response, design build, waterfront and ferry facilities. A Senior Transit Engineer provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise, which involves developing study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. Senior Transit Engineers also participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables including construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. In addition, Senior Transit Engineers use expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. They typically perform quality control review of design calculations or drawings and prepare technical specification sections. Lastly, Senior Transit Engineers provide input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
Operations Planning Manager
Operations Planning Managers analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers and direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management. The role also entails establishing or monitoring specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems, implementing specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics, and negotiating with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability. Finally, Operations Planning Managers maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
Senior Diesel Technician
Senior Diesel Technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of mechanical problems as well as highly specialized and technical areas such as Compressed Natural Gas, and other alternative fuel conversion and repairs. Senior diesel technicians must diagnose the more complicated drivability problems, performing the maintenance, repair, and inspection of the Compressed Natural Gas fueling station, and serving as a lead worker to other Automotive Mechanics.
