Fleet Service Analysts are responsible for performing research and analytical work for Fleet Services Department, particularly in the areas of cost management, vehicle replacement schedules, performance benchmarking, action plan tracking, and staffing requirements. Duties also include: reporting the ongoing effectiveness of various maintenance procedures, fleet replacement policies and strategies by using cost accounting methods, and developing justification and documentation for user rate recommendations. This class is also responsible for the analysis and development of productivity measurements to simplify and/or improve processes, determining performance standards by tracking and trending production data, and conducting operations and vehicle fleet cost and usage rate analyses
Logistics/Supply Chain Engineer
A Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. A Supply Chain Engineer plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors. A Supply Chain Engineer plans and implements the overall supply chain strategy by collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams, identifies process bottlenecks, implements solutions in a timely manner, suggests solutions for process improvements, works with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors, and builds and maintains good relationships with vendors. A Supply Chain Engineer determines key supply chain KPIs and documents step-by-step procedures for the supply planning process.
Traffic Engineering Manager
Traffic Engineering Managers plans and conduct special traffic studies and prepares comprehensive reports, costs for traffic control installations, including traffic signals, signs, striping and markings. Engineering Managers also provide technical coordination on traffic signal related projects, including inspection and field liaison with contractor personnel during construction and installation, technical information to other City departments, consultants, private developers, engineers, contractors and the public. This position also includes performing calculations, design, checking and some drafting in connection with traffic signals, channelization and other traffic related projects. Finally, Coordinates traffic and transportation projects and issues with other public agencies.
ITS Systems Engineer
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Systems Engineers assist in the development of ITS infrastructure, traffic signal, and integration of traffic control systems, and are responsible for integrating various data streams and configuring databases to organize and archive data. ITS Engineers also assist in managing the fiber-optic traffic signal communications network, CCTV system, developing standard operating procedures for server data backups and coordinating with the IT department, dashboard development for reporting/tracking ITS assets. Lastly, ITS Systems Engineers engage in customization of existing systems to leverage data for traffic engineering purposes and developing specifications for implementing new systems.
